Ashen Ramdhani, DBA student at LIGS University

Interview with our DBA student Ashen Ramdhani, Warranty Operations Manager for the Middle East and Africa, Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa.

Ashen joined LIGS University with the vision and dream of completing his DBA studies. Starting from the enrollment process, he was swept by our mission, vision, and the quality of education offered. We will do our best to honor his commitment to us, and we wish for all his dreams to come true!

Aloha, could you please introduce yourself to our readers? Your area of expertise, background, experience, hobby, etc.?

I am an accomplished professional, with a solid background in Engineering, Manufacturing, and issue resolution capabilities with a consistent track record. I complete projects to specifications in the first attempt. I am detail-driven with outstanding communication skills and proven success with both customers and co-workers. I work well under pressure and strongly promote teamwork. I am skilled in various disciplines and I am able to give profound training and direction to both technical and production employees.

My experience in the automotive field spans almost 15 years.

I am a registered member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (SAIEE) and Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE).

I have embarked on a new journey in order to make use of the extensive knowledge I have gained from prestigious business education in the field of Marketing, Sales and Customer Services. I am currently the Warranty Operations Manager for the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

I have graduated with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) Degree at Regent Business School, Southern Africa in June 2016. I am currently registered into the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) Degree with specializations in Management and Marketing at LIGS University.

Where did you hear about LIGS University and what inspired you to join LIGS University?

I heard about LIGS University from phdportal.com. I decided to go with LIGS University because I could relate to their vision for online education and because they offer quality US education.

What do you think are the benefits of an online/executive form of education?

It allows you to study at your own pace with respect to work and family life. It also provides for convenient studying at home.

Can you share the value of studying at LIGS University to you?

I always wanted to obtain a doctorate and LIGS University will be able to fulfill my vision and dreams by offering a program that I can relate to in a global context.

What do education and personal development mean to you?

I believe in continuous education and training, that's why I decided to study right up to a doctoral level so that I can be the best I can be in my career and in business.

In your opinion, what trends in education do you see in the next 5-10 years from now and why?

I think that the cost of education will go up, and the available skills in certain countries will go down. LIGS University is critical to global development because they offer the same level of quality education at a cost-effective price, which helps improve educational levels even in developing markets.

Based on your experience with LIGS, would you recommend cooperation with LIGS as a student and why?

Yes, it's very convenient to work with the LIGS University staff, since they have excellent support and turnaround time. They also have a fabulous online learning system called LMS, which has all the required information at the student's fingertips and is very easy to navigate.

What do you consider to be your greatest achievement/s in your career and life?

My greatest achievement was to accomplish my MBA degree. The next best achievement I am aiming to achieve is my DBA degree from LIGS University.

Do you have any experience with failure/s and how did you learn from it?

I fail at things all the time, but I learn from it by creating countermeasures so that I can improve each and every time.

What are your life and work goal/s?

My life goals are to achieve my DBA degree and use the knowledge to effectively run a business, as well as improve the way in which my company does business and serves customers.

What is your motto?

Do your best in everything you do and leave the rest to God!
